Job Description:

We’re looking for a Content Specialist to join our growing team and help us grow global awareness of CCleaner as a free, useful tool. 

Launched over 15 years ago and originally developed for techies, CCleaner is well known and respected in the tech community and media. However, general awareness of the benefits of device optimization tools outside that, is low. While CCleaner is already used by millions of consumer users globally looking for a tool to optimize their devices, the reality is, that anyone who has a PC, Mac or Android can benefit from using a free tool like CCleaner. The purpose of this role is to use our channels, paid media and partnerships to elevate CCleaner’s brand awareness and reputation much further into the mainstream consumer arena and capitalise on this opportunity.

This role involves working closely with our in house marketing specialists (SEO, PPC and paid social) so that alongside our direct acquisition strategies, we are running global awareness campaigns that ensure sustainable future growth.

If you are a seasoned and hands-on marketing manager with the ability to create and lead a marketing strategy that performs, are comfortable generating new ideas and concepts as well as making data-based decisions and have a growth marketing attitude - this role is for you. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our in house marketing specialists (SEO, PPC and paid social) to deliver direct acquisition and global awareness campaigns 

  • To take the lead on CCleaner’s global content strategy (content marketing, social, video, influencer, paid media) which feeds into our larger acquisition strategy to grow our Free user base

  • To deliver localised campaigns across multiple platforms including our own (website, YouTube, social), and via paid media and partnerships

  • To use data and keyword research to create content that engages, educates and nurtures audiences efficiently and on a localised scale, to gain maximum reach and conversion for budget

  • To use PR expertise, research and industry knowledge to create and deliver multi-channel content marketing campaigns that capture the attention of mainstream consumer media

  • To take complete control of content from end to end, from generating ideas and concepts to briefing and working with creatives and developers to deliver on time and to budget (this is a very hands-on role)

  • To manage our content calendar and website to ensure that SEO and blog (seasonal) content is present

  • To write and proof excellent copy and content for a variety of campaigns, materials and platforms

  • To analyse and report content and campaign performance
     

Requirements:

  • Significant marketing experience for a global (localised) product or brand

  • Can confidently use data and research to devise and roll out multi-channel, global content strategies that deliver maximum impact for budget

  • Experience in content marketing, digital marketing and PR

  • Experience negotiating placements with partners and paid media

  • Must be proficient at analysing campaign performance 

  • Experience managing budgets

  • Experience working directly with inhouse creatives and developers or securing skills via external platforms to manage end-to-end content creation

  • Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills

  • Must be organised and have an excellent eye for detail

  • A passion for marketing and and staying on top of changes in a fast-paced industry

  • A growth mindset - we test, learn and succeed or fail quickly
